Managing Your Emotions
Emotion: /ɪˈməʊʃ(ə)n/
plural noun: emotions
a strong feeling deriving from one's circumstances, mood, or relationships with others.
Our emotions have such a strong hold on our actions, our moods and our decisions. We don’t need to learn to ignore them or to try to block them out… it’s much more effective to learn to understand them, listen to what they are really trying to communicate to us and then we can look after our wellbeing better.
Support we can offer at Golddigger Trust
Sisu is the 5 session course from Golddigger Trust on managing emotions. If you are struggling with an issue such as self harm, disordered eating, or risk taking behaviour it could be a sign that you are struggling to manage your emotions. It might be good to spend a little time getting to understand yourself better. There may be some things you could try that may help you feel in better control. Maybe you have been experiencing anxiety, stress or low mood and this may help you to pinpoint where those feelings come from so you can better prepare for them or get through them more effectively.
