Looking for support for a young person?

If you are working with a young person in school years 7-13 or equivalent (aged 11-18) in Sheffield who you think would benefit from some extra support from our team and the projects we run, find out how to recommend our support to them below. A full criteria for our support is at the bottom of this page.

Who We Support

We work with young people aged 11-18 to equip them with the confidence and skills to develop positive mental health and make good choices for themselves. We do this through 1:1 mentoring, group courses, and weekly drop ins and workshops.

All of our support is free to access, except for our weekly Wellbeing Workshops, which are £3 per session to cover material costs. A full overview of our support can be found here.

Our Approach

Our work focuses on supporting young people’s holistic wellbeing and therefore we are not a replacement for a referral to specialist or clinical services if such support is deemed necessary. We are very happy to contribute to a multi-agency approach to support, and are unable to provide crisis or case management care. We take a youth work, young person centred approach and we are for all young people. Young people’s engagement in our support is voluntary

How young people can Register

In order to receive our support, we require young people to Register with us. Registrations take approximately 30 minutes, and are with a member of our Wellbeing Team. A parent/guardian is welcome to join this appointment. During this session they will explain the support that Golddigger Trust can offer, and discuss the next steps with them, as well as the offer for a 1-2-1 chat if the young person would like to. These sessions usually last around 30 minutes.

Please note that we will not be able to complete the registration without a completed permission form which is sent via email in advance of the Registration appointment.
