Information for Professionals

Looking for support for a young person?

If you are working with a young person in school years 7-13 or equivalent (aged 11-18) in Sheffield who you think would benefit from some extra support from our team and the projects we run, find out how to recommend our support to them below. A full criteria for our support is at the bottom of this page.

Who We Support

We work with young people aged 11-18 to equip them with the confidence and skills to develop positive mental health and make good choices for themselves. We do this through 1:1 mentoring, group courses, and our Wellbeing Cafe.

All of our support is free to access, except for our Wellbeing Workshops, which are £3 per session to cover material costs. A full overview of our support can be found here.

Our Approach

Our work focuses on supporting young people’s holistic wellbeing and therefore we are not a replacement for a referral to specialist or clinical services if such support is deemed necessary. We are very happy to contribute to a multi-agency approach to support, and are unable to provide crisis or case management care. We take a youth work, young person-centred approach and we are for all young people. Young people’s engagement in our support is voluntary.

How young people can get support.

The first place a young person will come to is our Wellbeing Cafe. There’s no need to book, they can just turn up and have a chat with a member of our team. If they are interested in one of our courses, they will be given information about the different programmes we offer and how to book a place through our website.

Please note that we will not be able to book a place on a course or mentoring without a completed permission form which can be picked up in Wellbeing Cafe.
